300 years ago, Londoners began a passionate love affair with the hot, black, gritty drink
from the East. Riding this tide of coffee were a generation of brilliant men and women, and
powerful forces that made London the most powerful and diverse city in Europe.
 
On their latest tour, Unreal City Audio will guide you through the courtyards, cobbled
streets and alleyways of the City of London. Dr Matthew Green, a young expert in
coffeehouse culture (and seasoned coffee drinker), guides you from fire and plague to the
seeds of the British Empire, accompanied by actors and musicians.
